I am committed to mentoring undergraduate students in science. 

I aided two Biosphere 2 REU (Research Education for Undergraduates) interns with summer project development including sample design, field work, lab measurements, data analysis, project synthesis, and poster presentations. 

I assisted 3 undergraduate students with semester-long  independent study projects and offered advice on project design, implementation, data synthesis, and final student presentations given to research groups.  

Additionally, I provided support, allocated tasks, and resolved questions for >10 undergraduate students in laboratory and field settings from 2010-2014. 

I regularly read and provide comments to students on graduate school entrance essays, research proposals, travel grant applications, abstracts, and other forms of scientific writing.
