Contact Information: eifriga[at]oregonstate[dot]edu Education: BS Crop and Soil Science, Minor: Renewable Materials, Oregon State University Background: I was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, and beautiful city located at the top of the Puget Sound. I was also lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood surrounded by mountains, forests, a lake, and to this day some of my closest friends. It was growing up in this amazing place that fostered my love of the outdoors and of our natural resources which we often take for granted. This upbringing brought me to decide on studying renewable materials originally at Oregon State University. After studying renewable materials for my first 3 years at Oregon State University, and completing an internship working in a large sawmill, I came to the conclusion that this wasn’t the career field for me. After this experience I decided to flip my major and minor, to now major in soil science. Since making this decision I haven’t looked back and have been thoroughly enjoying my time studying soils. My future career goals at this point are to work for a company or agency that strives for the conservation and efficient utilization of our natural resources! |
