Thomas Scholarship (2014) Research Interests: Soils of the perhumid Pacific coastal temperate rainforest in Southeastern Alaska, the relationships of carbon, lithologies, hydric indicators and forest health. The preferred soil properties by native ground-nesting bees in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Background: Prior to her recent studies at Oregon State University, Jennifer traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe, studying art, film and music. As an undergraduate at Oregon State University, Jennifer assisted with mapping soils of the Willamette, Ochoco, and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests alongside graduate students working under Dr. Jay Noller. |
