Research Interests: The importance of native ground nesting pollinators for crops, specifically looking at which properties of soil are conducive to encourage native pollinators to inhabit. The relationship between climate change, forest fires and soils. Spodosols in the Alaskan panhandle.
Background: Prior to her recent studies at Oregon State University, Jennifer traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe, studying art, film and music. As an undergraduate at Oregon State University, Jennifer assisted with mapping soils of the Willamette National Forest and Wallowa-Whitman National Forest alongside graduate students working under Dr. Jay Noller.
